.... a great achievement generated from sponsorship and supporter donations, ticket sales, raffle and programme sales and of course generous bucket donations on the night.

Now we can celebrate the success of this wonderful event by sharing with you pictures and videos captured on the night and, of course, take the opportunity to recognise our sponsors, supporters and local business community for their valued support.

Saturday 30th September 2017 saw the joint chariry concert performed by Bradwell Silver Band alongside the ladies of Boobs and Brass. The audience appreciated the mix of musical entertainment as well as appearances from Star Wars Stormtroopers, heralding the opening number, The Imperial March (from the movie Star Wars). The soloists performed in great style and all band members from both sides enjoyed the pace of 'Breezing Down Broadway' as much as the stirring melody of 'I'll Walk With God'. Brian Keech, Musical Director for Bradwell Silver Band commented "It was a wonderful evening of music-making by 70 fantastic musicians".

We also take this opportunity to extend our heart-felt thanks to our Key Sponsor and our Key Supporters

A rewarding experience for all as Bradwell Silver Band is proud to announce that the joint Breast Cancer Charity Concert with Boobs and Brass has raised an amazing 4,247.68 pounds. A cheque will be presented to Boobs and Brass representative Margaret Betts and all the monies donated to the charity Breast Cancer Now. The concert was well attended and the generous support of local businesses resulted in the band reaching its goals of raising in excess of 4,000 pounds. Whilst both bands presented a programme of music to entertain it was the massed band performances with 70 players on stage that delighted. Bradwell Silver Band is honoured that the relationship with In-Pensionsers of The Royal Chelsea Hospital was continued and celebrated with the presence of a delegation of Pensioners in full red regalia. The Band had recently visited Chelsea and entertained the In-Pensioners in a concert on the Hospital grounds. The ladies of Bradwell Silver Band took up the invitation to join Boobs and Brass in the latter part of the first half of the programme and swapped their blue for the famous pink jackets with pride. Guest Musical Director for Boobs and Brass Ewan Robson and Brian Keech, Musical Director for Bradwell Silver Band, created a performance that will be remembered by all involved as a highlight of their brass band careers. The members of Bradwell Silver Band thank the ladies and representatives of Boobs and Brass for sharing this memorable evening and wish them every success in their final fundraising year together.

It was a long day at The Venue MK for all the players of Bradwell Silver Band, Boobs and Brass and the team looking after the organisation of the event. Of course everyone had to be fed and watered and our sincere thanks go out to everyone connected with the bands that brought along food and drink to supply the buffet laid on throughout. We are especially appreciative of the local companies in the Milton Keynes area that stepped up to the plate (forgive the pun) and kindly donated food and drink. So to the guys at Sainsbury's Shenley Church End, Aldi, Tesco Express (Walnut Tree) and Morrisons - THANK YOU! Even our disposable cups were donated by Costa Coffee and MacDonalds.A special thank you goes out to Sarah Gates for her non-stop work in the Green Room.
