Welcome to Bradwell Silver Band
Bradwell Silver Band was founded on January 15th 1901 and can proudly claim that it has been in continuous existence for well over a century. Most of the original members lived in what was then rural North Buckinghamshire villages of Bradwell and Stantonbury and were employed at the London and North Western Railway Works in neighbouring Wolverton. These areas were later renamed Old Bradwell and New Bradwell respectively and although both areas retain their identities, they are now very much a part of the ever expanding development that is Milton Keynes. The railway works ceased to be a major employer by the 1980s and today’s membership is drawn from a cross section of trades and professions.
As we start to see the dark nights drawing in, our thoughts turn to the festive period once again. Bradwell Silver Band are proud to host the now famous Christmas Concert at St James Church in New Bradwell on the 16th December 2017. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Alongside traditional Christmas tunes you can look forward to a great mix of festive treats to set you firmly in the mood for yuletide fun. We hope you will join us for this great evening of music. Tickets are just seven pounds and can be purchased on the door or you can telephone to reserve your places on 01908 616463. We look forward to seeing you.
